The Future of Work in Conservation - Launch of IUCN Academy

Why attend
Whether you are a seasoned conservationist, a professional seeking to develop skills in the field or an employer willing to integrate conservation in your business, this session will provide you with insights on the profiles of tomorrow's conservationists and the skills they will need to lead the green transition our societies are calling for.
HideDescription
As the pace of change in working practices has been further increased by the coronavirus pandemic, the profiles and ways of working of tomorrow's conservationists are also evolving quickly. IUCN is launching its IUCN Academy to harness IUCN expertise and provide training to those seeking to make their contributions more meaningful within the dynamic world of professional conservation. In doing so, IUCN Academy is proud to partner with several important academic institutions around the world. Together with IUCN Director General, Bruno Oberle, those academic partners will discuss the professional profiles needed to successfully support the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and other work toward sustainable development and protecting biodiversity. They will also reflect upon their contribution to train professionals prepared to lead the green transition our societies are calling for.
