Valérie D'HOEDT MEYER

IUCN Academy Project Manager

Valérie D’Hoedt Meyer is the IUCN Academy Project Manager. Before joining IUCN, she worked in the higher education sector for more than 10 years. In her last appointment as Deputy Director of Executive Education of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, she led the reflection on innovation and developed new business models for education programs. She was also Director of the Executive Master in Environmental Governance and Policy Making. Valérie is a lawyer by training, she has 15 years of experience in practicing and lecturing on methodologies fostering societal innovation. She started her career with the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs before joining the European Space Agency as Contracts Officer for Science Programmes. Valérie is a Belgian national, she holds an LL.M from Queen Mary and Westfield College - University of London and a Licence en droit from Université catholique de Louvain.
