The first-ever fully virtual IUCN Global Youth Summit took place online April 5-16, 2021. With over 15,000 people registered, 50+ online workshops hosted by youth-led organisations, and over 100 virtual networking events, the two-week Summit brought young people together from around the world to work together for the future of people and nature. You can explore or re-live the Global Youth Summit online sessions on the Global Youth Summit YouTube channel.

The virtual Global Youth Summit in April 2021 was just the beginning. At the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Marseille, France in September 2021, youth and young professionals:

  • Gathered in person and online at the Global Youth Summit 3 September 2021
  • Learned from each other at over 30 events in the #NatureForAll Youth Oasis in the Exhibition
  • Delivered the Global Youth Summit outcome statement to the IUCN Members’ Assembly

The Global Youth Summit Outcome Statement belongs to all young people who gathered under this process to make our voice heard. To read our Statement and keep up to date with the latest on youth engagement activities at IUCN, visit: iucnyouthsummit.org/youthspeak
