Ms Melanie HEATH

Director - Science, Policy and Information, BirdLife International

A conservation leader with 30 years experience in international conservation and sustainable development. Melanie is the Global Director of Science, Policy and Information with BirdLife International, a Partnership of over 100 national organisations striving to conserve birds, their habitats and global biodiversity, working with people towards sustainability in the use of natural resources. Melanie oversees BirdLife's policy work with multi-lateral environment agreements including the Post 2020 process. BirdLife co-hosts the KBA Secretariat and manages the World Database of KBAs on behalf of the KBA Partnership. Melanie sits on the KBA Committee and the Governance Committee of the Integrated Biodiversity Assessment Tool (IBAT).
