Ms Bibiana SUCRE

Executive Director, IUCN SSC Chair's Office / Provita

Bibiana Sucre is the Executive Director of the IUCN Species Survival Commission Chair’s Office, and of Provita, a Venezuelan IUCN Member NGO. Bibiana was also Deputy Chair of the South American Committee of IUCN Members during 2017-2019 and is now candidate for IUCN Regional Councillor for Meso and South America. She is a Venezuelan biologist with graduate studies in ecology and a masters on public management. Her expertise combines technical areas in research and recovery of threatened species and ecosystems, engagement of local communities, and environmental education; as well as management areas, especially on strategic planning, coordination of multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, and internal and external communications.
