Bruno MONTEFERRI

Director, Conservamos por Naturaleza // Marine Governance Initiative, Sociedad Peruana de Derecho Ambiental

Bruno Monteferri is a Peruvian lawyer with over 15 years of professional experience in protecting wild spaces together with local communities, government, enterprises, civil society and the general public. He is currently Director of two initiatives at the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law (SPDA): Conservamos por Naturaleza and the Marine and Coastal Governance Initiative. He is Ashoka Fellow, former Global Shaper and currently part of the 2021 Edinburgh Ocean Leaders cohort. In addition to his law degree, he also has an MPhil in Conservation Leadership from the University of Cambridge. Bruno combines his legal knowledge with his passion for travel, exploration, and high-quality communication and storytelling, having co-directed two documentaries so far (A la Mar - To the Sea; El Rugir del Marañón - The Roar of the Marañon), as well as several books, including La Ruta Natural, Peru's first comprehensive travel guide to conservation areas.
