Biodiversity project manager, Agence Française de Développement

Aurélien Guingand is a project manager within AFD’s agriculture, rural development and biodiversity department. With a background in development & environmental policy and environmental economics, he worked across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors for 15 years at the interface between conservation and development with a special focus on innovative financing mechanisms for biodiversity conservation & biodiversity finance. Within AFD, he’s in charge of a portfolio of projects on biodiversity, forests and agriculture in a range of countries in Africa, the Pacific, the Middle East and South East Asia.
