The One Planet Summit delivers for biodiversity

Why attend
To discover how the One Planet Summit process has raised the level of ambition of the international community on biodiversity around transformational multi-stakeholder coalitions and commitments.
HideDescription
Since its launch in 2017 by the President of the French Republic, the Secretary General of the United Nations and the President of the World Bank Group, the One Planet Summit (OPS) has mobilized many partners around ambitious commitments to accelerate the ecological transition at the global level. The challenges of protecting biodiversity were the theme of the 4th edition of the One Planet Summit that France hosted in January 2021. The ministerial event on 6/9 will thus bring together ministers, heads of international institutions, business leaders and civil society actors to address in particular the action of 'One Planet Summit' coalitions for (i) the mobilization of public and private actors for biodiversity, (ii) the transformation of value chains towards a nature-positive economy, and (iii) innovation to finance the conservation and restoration of ecosystems.
