This session, included in the 4th sitting of the Members' Assembly, will contribute to achieving the goals of the IUCN Programme by enabling all constituent parts to better understand current conditions and dynamics, clarify IUCN’s role, strengthen their capacity, and mobilise and engage support from internal and external audiences. Together with the other two Strategic Discussions, IUCN members and the Secretariat will engage in a constructive debate on the future of the union, adding a particular focus on the impact of COVID-19 on conservation.
