Mrs Victoria SOUBEIRAN

Chargée de missions tortues marines, Les Naturalistes, Environnement et Patrimoine de Mayotte

I graduated in France from a master degree in ecological engineering and ecosystem services with the will to work with local authorities for the implementation of nature-based solutions in urban planning, not only as an aesthetic boost, but mostly for its role as a mitigator for climate change effects.

For the past 2 years I have been working on sea turtle conservation in Mayotte using different approaches : population dynamic assessment, participative study, conferences, formation and workshops, and animation in schools.  Working with local population is essential to implement efficient conservation measures on the territory.
