Dr SONALI GHOSH

Indian Forest Service , C2C at Wildlife Institute

I am an Indian Forest Service officer with over 23 years of work experience and specialization in wildlife. Consider lucky to serve as a field manager in famed PAs - Kaziranga, and Manas. And even luckier to have travelled extensively and interacted, published on forest and people of northeast India.  Experience of higher education (Ph.D.) in the UK and stints at UNESCO C2C on World Natural Heritage centre at Wildlife Institute of India strengthened my knowledge base. Then a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to serve as Director Swachh Bharat Mission and achieve the dream of ODF-India using behaviour change approaches in the world's largest people’s movement. Currently back in the groove as Deputy Inspector General of Forests, Central Zoo Authority with additional charges as assigned ar National Zoo, NTCA and Wildlife Div, MoEFCC. Over 35 peer-reviewed papers and 3 co-edited books, and miles to go!
