Clean Energy Strategist for the Government of Nova Scotia, Young Professionals Network Co-Lead, IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management

Salima Medouar is Co-Lead of the IUCN CEM Young Professionals Network. Salima is from IUCN CEM North America Regional Network. She has a Joint Specialisation in Sociology & Anthropology and a Masters of Sustainability Science & Society focusing on Policy and Ecosystem Governance. She currently works for the Province of Nova Scotia in the Department of Energy & Mines, Sustainable Renewable Energy Branch as a Clean Energy Strategist. Her interests are in collaborative environmental management and environmental justice. She is eager to engage with the YPN on pressing Climate change mitigation issues and excited to capture our values and goals for transitioning to low carbon and nature-based solutions.
