Paul HARTMAN

Senior Environmental Specialist, Global Environment Facility

Since 2016 Paul Hartman has worked at the Global Environment Facility (GEF) as a Senior Environmental Specialist. At the GEF he oversees a portfolio of global programs and country projects focused on improving the sustainability of food systems, including the Food Systems, Land Use and Restoration (FOLUR) Impact Program and the Good Growth Partnership (GGP) Program. Prior to joining the GEF, he spent 15 years in Southeast Asia working on forestry, biodiversity conservation, and climate change projects. He has led four U.S. Agency for International Development funded natural resources management projects as Chief of Party and served as the Director of The Nature Conservancy’s Indonesia Forests Program. Paul lives in the Washington, D.C. area and holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University.
