Ms Patricia SANTILLAN CARVANTES

PhD candidat, Leuphana University

Passionate about life, I am a Ph.D. candidate at Leuphana University (Germany) working in the understanding of the social-ecological systems dynamics and how their components enable the sustainable use of biodiversity, particularly in one tropical dry forest in Mexico.
Former biologist, graduated with a master in "Natural resource management" by the UNAM (Mexico) and in "Statistics applied to agronomy" at Agrocampus-Ouest (France), I currently call myself a socio-ecologist working for achieving biodiversity conservation while preserving good quality of life. I am sensitive to interdisciplinary and intercultural perspectives especially for analyzing Latin American environmental problems. Co-founder of the collective "Sustentabilízate MX", in my free time I create environmental education content for its Facebook page, as well as dancing, listening to music, playing the harp, and walking around.
