Neil DAWSON

Researcher, School of International Development, University of East Anglia

Neil Dawson chairs the theme on Human Wellbeing and Sustainable Livelihoods for IUCN CEESP and is a research fellow with The Global Environmental Justice Group at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in the UK and the European School of Political and Social Sciences (ESPOL) in Lille, France. His research explores wellbeing and environmental justice among rural populations in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and South America. Most recently Neil’s work has explored the complexity and potential contribution of Indigenous and local communities’ knowledge systems to the governance of biodiversity conservation, climate change, agriculture and sustainable development.
