Conservation Project Manager, NatureMetrics

Natalie has over 15 years experience in conservation research, biodiversity monitoring and project management, principally in tropical forest ecosystems in Latin America. She has a dual-PhD in Environmental Science from Lancaster University in the UK and Federal University of Lavras in Brazil, focussing on the use of non-traditional approaches to understand hunting and conservation of wildlife in Brazil, using social-science methods and environmental crime data. She now works on the conservation team at NatureMetrics – a DNA-based biodiversity monitoring company in the UK – to advise and support the integration of DNA-based tools in biodiversity monitoring for conservation projects worldwide.
