Ms Mirna Inés FERNANDEZ

Policy Co-coordinator, Global Youth Biodiversity Network

Mirna Inés Fernández is a young Bolivian woman passionate about the conservation of biodiversity, art and culture. She studied Environmental Engineering and Fine Arts, and afterwards she completed a master's degree in Biodiversity and Tropical Ecosystems thanks to an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. She is a co-founder of Reacción Climática, a citizen collective promoting joint actions against climate change in Bolivia. She is also a Steering Committee member of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network and a co-founder of its Bolivian chapter, Kaaijayu-GYBN Bolivia. Her work experience goes through environmental impacts assessments, formal and non-formal education, environmental advocacy and technical assistance to Indigenous Peoples and local Communities.
