Maria MORENO DE LOS RÍOS

Senior Programs Manager, Hivos. Red de Mujeres en Conservación LAC. CEESP.

María Moreno de los Ríos has more than 15 years of experience in international socio-environmental issues. She has worked with UNDP, AECID, and leading NGOs in South America. María was the Regional Governance and Equity Programme Officer in IUCN SUR and focal point for the CEESP, from which she is a member; responsible for the governance, gender, and indigenous peoples’ issues. She coordinated the Green List Amazonia Programme and the GbV and environment. Actually, she is the Senior Programme Manager for the Latam regional hub in Hivos (All Eyes on the Amazon, Amazon Indigenous Health Route).

María brings her active support to the Science Panel for the Amazon, the Network of Women in Conservation LAC. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Leadership Program for Women in Conservation of Colorado State University, and member of the Women's Major Group LAC, among others.
