Lucy WARUINGI

Executive Director, African Conservation Centre

Lucy WARUINGI is the Executive Director of the African Conservation Centre (ACC) a Kenyan-based NGO working in East Africa and across Africa on emerging conservation issues, cutting edge conservation research, restoration of degraded rangelands and community based conservation initiatives.  ACC influences the mainstreaming biodiversity across various sectors in planning and action at local, national and global level.  Lucy has experience in biodiversity assessments and conservation planning and use of Biodiversity Informatics tools for decision making. Lucy is Co-PI in the DCP project that is studying the impacts of large linear infrastructure on biodiversity in East Africa. Lucy is a member of the International Technical Advisory and Up-scaling Group for the GEF Connect Project,  Chair of the Conservation Alliance of Kenya and a founding member of the Society for Conservation GIS, Kenya.
