Knowledge Management Lead; Senior Programme Officer, UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre

Lauren Weatherdon is a Senior Programme Officer at UNEP-WCMC with more than nine years of international experience and involvement in 50+ nature-related projects supporting public and private sector decision-making. During this time, she has had the privilege of working with UN agencies, NGOs and public and private sector partners in more than 20 countries around the world, including in Africa, Southeast Asia and South and Central America. Lauren specialises in knowledge management, contributing to a digital transformation in the way data and knowledge on nature is collected, analysed, accessed and used.  As Knowledge Manager at UNEP-WCMC, she collaborates with colleagues and partners to strengthen delivery of digital knowledge products that inform conservation, restoration and sustainable management of nature, leading to positive outcomes for people and planet.
