Ms Katherine ZISCHKA

World Heritage Conservation Officer, IUCN

Within the IUCN World Heritage Programme, Kathy coordinates the monitoring and conservation of natural and mixed World Heritage sites as part of IUCN's Advisory Body role on nature to the World Heritage Convention. Kathy has a background in marine conservation, international environmental governance and management, and has worked in marine science on the ground, in ecotourism, management and linking science to policy development. She is a member of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA), co-chairing the WCPA Marine Young Professionals Task Force (2014-17).
