Ambassador, Finance for Biodiversity (F4B)

Jeremy Eppel is Ambassador of the Finance for Biodiversity Initiative (F4B). He is co-founder of Eppel Sustainability, a consultancy which helps organisations tackle global sustainability challenges and secure funding. He is a member of the CBD Expert Panel on Resource Mobilisation for the Post-2020 GBF. Jeremy has advised the World Bank’s Global Wildlife Program, the Prince of Wales’s ISU, UNEP, CITES and many NGO and private sector organisations. Until 2016, Jeremy was Deputy Director International in the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, leading the UK delegation to CBD COPs 11 and 12. Jeremy also pioneered efforts to tackle the illegal wildlife trade (IWT) through the London and Kasane Conferences. Jeremy spent 8 years as Environment Counsellor in the OECD, Paris. Jeremy is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Trustee of IUCN UK and TRAFFIC International.
