Ms Janique MARCIL

Student - Young Participant WCC 2021, Hawai'i Conservation Alliance Foundation

Janique Marcil is a 17-year old student at Kaua'i High School. She enjoys photography, digital media and is currently in the process of launching several online platforms. Next year, she plans to attend university and major in social media marketing.

Janique enjoys spending time in nature and volunteers for several nature conservation organizations on Kaua'i, the Garden Island. Most recently, she completed a science project focusing on fern propagation in collaboration with the National Tropical Botanical Garden.

Janique sees the beauty and diversity in the fauna and flora that exists on the island where she lives. She knows however that many of these species are being threatened by global climate change, habitat loss, over-exploitation and pollution, and hopes that her involvement in the World Conservation Congress will help inspire youth to take action.
