Mr Jamieson COPSEY

Director of Training, IUCN SSC CPSG

On completion of his BSc, Jamie went on to undertake a variety of field research and conservation work, in particular on tropical islands. He spent the next 18 years working for the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, becoming Head of Learning and Development in 2009. As Managing Director of Durrell Conservation Training Ltd, he established a new capacity building organization in Mauritius in 2013. In July 2017, Jamie became Director of Training for CPSG, with a remit to help the organization building global capacity for species conservation planning.  He leads CPSG's development of training courses, mentoring programs and coaching work in conservation planning.  Jamie also works with the wider team to provide process design and facilitation support for governments, NGOs etc. keen to develop conservation plans for their species of concern.
