Senior Gender Programme Manager, IUCN

An agricultural engineer, with a Master degree on Natural Resources Management. She has worked in the Mesoamerican Region for more than 20 years in environmental projects that promote sustainable and equitable human development. She worked for CARE, IUCN, Wetland International and Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center. She has provided technical assistance to regional organizations, local governments, Ministries of Environment and Agriculture, women and indigenous organizations.  She is a senior gender program manager for the Global Program on Governance and Rights at IUCN working to mainstream gender and women rights into initiatives and policy process fund by different donors (GEF, GCF, USAID, GIZ) related to the environment in  Latin American, African, Asia and Oceania. She has several publications on gender and environment.
