In 2001, I finished my degree in Biology, in the Universidade dos Açores. I have been working in Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Ribeira Grande, as a coordinator of the Education Environmental Center of Ribeira Grande, in São Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal, since 2002.  I work with students, from elementary to secondary schools, teaching about the importance of protecting Nature. In 2016, I  concluded my Master's degree in Biodiversity and Biotechnology, with the Citizen Science Project Joaninhas dos Açores.
