Managing Director, Basel Institute on Governance

Gretta Fenner is the Managing Director of the Basel Institute on Governance. In this role, she oversees the implementation of the Basel Institute's new thematic focus on environmental crime in the Green Corruption Programme. 

The Basel Institute on Governance is a not-for-profit Swiss foundation dedicated to working with public and private partners around the world to prevent and combat corruption. The programme of work at the Basel Institute comprises action, advice and research across the following thematic areas: asset recovery, collective action, corporate governance and compliance, public governance, green corruption and public finance management.

Prior to joining the Basel Institute, Gretta worked at the OECD in Paris as the organisation’s manager for anti-corruption programmes in the Asia-Pacific region, where she played a key role in establishing the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia-Pacific.
