Dr Flore LAFAYE DE MICHEAUX

IPBES Coordinator, IUCN

Flore Lafaye de Micheaux currently works at IUCN Headquarters as IPBES coordinator. She also works for the IPBES Secretariat for 50% of her time to broaden stakeholder engagement in IPBES. Her professional and academic activities have dealt with environmental policies, water and flood management and ecosystem restoration. She contributed to several integrated management approaches bringing together policy-makers, scientists and stakeholders. Her 20-year career brought her to Ethiopia, France, India and Switzerland. From 2010 to 2014, she was Sustainable development counsellor at the Regional Economic Service for South Asia, Embassy of France in India. She holds a PhD in political ecology (University of Lausanne).
