Ms Erin LOURY

Communications Director/Fisheries Biologist, FISHBIO

Erin Loury is a fisheries biologist and science communication specialist at the fisheries consulting company FISHBIO. Based in California, she has research and conservation experience in the western United States and Southeast Asia. She also has extensive experience communicating scientific findings to broad audiences via multiple media platforms. Erin has worked on projects to establish freshwater community-managed Fish Conservation Zones (FCZs) in Laos and Myanmar, standardize fisheries research methods, and engage community participation in fisheries research and management. She has written multiple guidebooks related to FCZ establishment and management, and currently helps manage communications for the interdisciplinary Wonders of the Mekong project in Cambodia.
