IAS resource center coordinator, IUCN French Committee

Emmanuelle Sarat is the coordinator of the French Invasive alien species Resource Center at the IUCN French Committee. The IAS resource Center targets all fauna and flora species of marine, freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems, and covers continental France and all the French overseas departments. Its main objective is to improve the effectiveness of prevention and management of biological invasions and to support national policies on the subject, in particular the national IAS strategy. It also develops management methods and training, gathers information, and disseminates knowledge and information on best practices to stakeholders.

Emmanuelle has coordinated the Working Group "Biological Invasions in Aquatic Environments" (GT IBMA) from 2014 to 2018. She is also supporting the implementation of the "Species" programme of the IUCN French Committee.
