Dr David MALLON

Special Advisor, IUCN Species Survival Commission

David Mallon has been a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission for over 30 years. He is a member of the IUCN Red List Committee and the Green Status of Species Task Force, and has been Co-Chair of the Antelope Specialist Group since 2004. He is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Natural Sciences at Manchester Metropolitan University, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and an Honorary Conservation Fellow, Zoological Society of London. He has many years’ experience of working in biodiversity conservation, mainly in the Himalaya, Mongolia, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Horn of Africa.
