Prof. Brendan MACKEY

Director, Griffith Climate Action Beacon, Griffith University

Prof Brendan Mackey is Director of the Climate Action Beacon at Griffith University, Queensland Australia. He is currently a coordinating lead author for IPCC Working Group II - impacts, vulnerability and adaptation. Brendan has a PhD in ecology from The Australian National University. A primary focus of Professor Mackey's current research is the climate change, biodiversity and forest nexus. He also co-chairs the IUCN Working Group on Primary Forest & Intact Forest Landscapes.
