Dr Aminu-Kano MUHTARI

Director-General/CEO, Nigerian Conservation Foundation

He is an experienced natural resources management expert with more than thirty-years cumulative experience in management, advocacy and research in the fields of protected area management, wider biodiversity conservation, climate change, agriculture, humanitarian work and poverty reduction in Nigeria, Africa and globally. He has considerable experience in NGO management and Government-NGO partnerships and policy formulation and implementation through national, regional and international works. He has received formal and informal training in leadership for sustainable development and has good communication and negotiation skills.

He is on the Board of several national and international organisations and a member of international committees and Panels such as the IUCN-Niger Delta Biodiversity Technical Advisory Group (BTAG), the Centre for African Wetlands, the Forum for African Agricultural Research and others.
