The Renova Foundation is the entity responsible for articulating and implementing actions to repair and compensate damages caused by the Fundão dam collapse, in the city of Mariana (MG State), Brazil. The dam collapse occurred on November 5th, 2015, when approximately 39.2 million cubic meters of mining tailings reached the Gualaxo do Norte River in Mariana, from where they flowed into the Doce River and followed to the sea for about 670 km - traveling a distance equivalent to the one that separates Switzerland to France. This panel will address the project developed by the Renova Foundation in partnership with Elos Institute with a focus on bringing young people from the Rio Doce Basin to the protagonism in their communities and in their lives, focusing on the engagement of these young people in the repair. https://iucn2021.key4.live/chaine-27-e-posters-uicn
