The IUCN Council decided to refer the nine motions to amend the IUCN Statutes and other governance issues, for further discussion and vote, to the 2020 Congress to be held in Marseille in September 2021 because they either warrant debate at the global level during the Congress or generated too divergent amendments during the online discussion.
