High-Level Working Session for Action on Resolution 087, for Atewa National Park

Why attend
The IUCN in November 2020 passed Resolution 087 demanding ‘Urgent measures to safeguard the globally important Atewa Forest, Ghana” from government’s plans to mine it for bauxite. With these plans stalled for now, it is a critical time to look at opportunities for green development in the landscape to make Atewa Forest a world-class protected area.
