Relax to sounds of protected areas

Why attend
Take a health break from the congress and connect with nature through an immersive sound experience of protected areas from around the world.
HideDescription
Studies have shown that even just listening to nature helps restore human well-being. Listening to sounds from protected areas, in turn, raises awareness of these critically important places. During the WCC, immerse yourself in nature is through the #NatureForAll inspired Sounds of Your Park, an audio experience of the planet’s protected places. This collaborative effort aims to inspire everyone to engage with our natural and cultural heritage, and foster meaningful connections with our parks and protected areas. Bring your phone and earphones and, from right here in Marseille, catch a dawn chorus along the Limpopo River in the Mmabolela Conservancy in South Africa, spend a night along a bayou in Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, in Louisiana, U.S.A., or experience a Mayan ceremony at the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
