A Network for Nature: connecting young professionals towards a shared future

Why attend
Are you a young professional eager to make an impact for the future of our planet? Then join other like-minded people for an interactive networking event! We'll explore innovative and inclusive ways to collaboratively shape the future of nature conservation, including building communication channels beyond the Congress.
HideDescription
This event offers young professionals an opportunity to set the foundations for synergies across different sectors. It will consist of three main activities: 1) Mapping: participants will “pin” themselves on a world map, identifying themselves with their name, field of work / research, and professional background. They will also post keywords on wall posters, about knowledge and skill gaps, and other barriers. Participants will circulate around the stand to visit the different areas (poster and map). 2) Storytelling: Participants be given a platform to share a story with the group, in the format they prefer. It could be an inspiring experience, lessons-learnt, a funny mishap… 3) Networking to brainstorm about collaborative solutions. Session 1: participants will be distributed across tables corresponding to the gaps and barriers shared during the mapping. Session 2: shuffling the participants according to themes of work/research. We’ll share collective outcomes as a follow-up.
