HideDescription
This session presents The Nature Conservancy’s German urban greening program, which works with municipal partners to utilize the power of nature to enhance climate resiliency and adaptation, protect community health and well-being, and encourage biodiversity. Kicking off in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, a district in the western part of Berlin, the program has plans to roll out in two additional German cities in 2021. In this session, we will present an introduction of the general urban NBS projects of TNC around the world, and how they relate to major international policy processes such as the CBD and the UNFCCC. Then through a mix of live presentation and recorded videos, we will hear more about the German urban greening program, with a special focus on the work in Berlin.
