This presentation will expand on how to improve the process and action to identify and recover ‘Extinct in the Wild’ species. The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species has 873 species listed as Extinct, 6,127 species listed as Critically Endangered, and only 73 species listed as Extinct In the Wild despite extensive collections of ex situ populations for highly imperiled species of animal, plants and fungi globally.
