This session will explore recent exemples of integrated approaches, particularly those where WCEL and/or the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection an is engaged in Morocco, Africa and globally, in the fields of water, the fight against desertification and Climate through Legal and Education for Sustainable Development approaches.

The session will build on key outcomes from the African Environmental Law Congress, co hosted by IUCN WCEL/UNEP and the Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training and feature examples from the African Youth Climate Hub, the African Green Universities and Youth Education Nework and the Climate Law and Governance Initiative. The session will also reflect key concerns identified by the Major Groups and Stakeholders, African Region as part of the 8th Special Session of AMCEN, as we look towards the 18th Ordinary Session of AMCEN.
