20 years Land Acquisition Fund | Small grants, big impacts

Why attend
For over 20 years the IUCN NL Land acquisition fund has supported local NGOs on the purchase of nature and the creation of privately protected areas. Grantees from all over the world will share their experiences about the impact of land acquisition on protecting nature and saving species, such as the Asian Elephant, the Persion leopard, and more.
HideDescription
During this social event, the report “the impact of 20 years of providing land purchase grants” will be presented and partners from all over the globe will share the impact which the creation of private protected areas can have on people and endangered species like cotton top tamarins, Asian elephants and the blue throated macaw. The stories of our partners will show that the impact of privately protected areas goes way beyond the actual hectares bought and now protected.
