To learn about practical models, tools and mechanisms to support effective area-based conservation and understand the experiences of diverse and multiple partners including indigenous and local communities in the Pantanal Chaco (Paraguay and Bolivia). Session will be from 16.00 until 17.30.

This session demonstrates the steps followed in the framework of the transboundary partnership between civil society organizations, through the implementation of practical models, tools and mechanisms to support effective area-based conservation in the Chaco – Pantanal region of Bolivia and Paraguay. Examples of community-led approaches for resource management will be shared as tools to protect and maintain public goods (water and food security and climate resilience) through rights-based approach. It will also share experiences in managing territories at a regional scale with diverse and multiple partners including indigenous and local communities. See agenda below in photo gallery.
