Minister for Forestry and Natural Resources

Hon Nancy Tembo has been a Member of Parliament since 2004 and now serving as the Minister for Forestry and Natural Resources in Malawi. She assumes the chairmanship of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) cluster on environment, natural resources, and tourism as Malawi becomes the Chair of SADC in August 2021.

Nancy has been an active and tireless campaigner for sustainable environment and natural resources management.  She is passionate about forest and ecosystem restoration, portable water for all, clean cooking mechanisms, climate change adaptation, and the enforcement of regulations on pollution. 

Hon Nancy Tembo has a Master of Science degree in Leadership and Change Management from Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom.
