Translating research and biodiversity informatics into transformative global conservation action

Why attend
This session will demonstrate compelling ways to synthesize and visualize data to engage diverse groups of stakeholders to inform and scientifically rigorous, actionable conservation decisions.
HideDescription
Species distributions and abundances are undergoing rapid changes worldwide. There is a need for integrated information and effective communication for guiding and assessing actions and policies aimed at managing and sustaining the many functions and benefits of species. To keep pace with global changes in biodiversity, we need to leverage the latest tools to provide information for decision-makers. Here we will demonstrate projects that are utilizing the latest advances in technology to synthesize data, and dynamically communicate this data for easy interpretation for multiple levels of conservation professionals for management and policy decisions.
