Balancing cross-sectoral priorities for effective ecosystem restoration

Why attend
Achieving ambitious global targets for ecosystem restoration requires engagement and collaboration from multiple sectors including public, private business, and civil society. This interactive session will stimulate discussion surrounding how different actors can achieve maximum benefit through effective restoration, whilst exploring the principles
HideDescription
The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030) requires a comprehensive understanding of how restorative activities can best be applied across all sectors (public, private business, and civil society). In this interactive session, we will explore how sectors engage and benefit from effective ecosystem restoration, and the actions that different actors can take to prioritise and collaborate to maximise net gain as we implement the UN Decade. We will hear speed talks from representatives of different sectors and stimulate discussions surrounding principles and standards for ecosystem restoration, as well as synergies and trade-offs between ecosystem restoration, global aspirations, and commitments from different sectors.
