HideDescription
BiObserva is a biodiversity observation platform created by SUEZ in Spain with the collaboration of the Catalan Ornithology Institute (ICO). Its purpose it to collect biodiversity data at the facilities managed by the group. The programme takes citizen science methodology (the collection of data by members of the general public) and adapts it to the corporate environment. This methodology offers many advantages, such as helping to involve all staff in the management of their work centre’s local biodiversity, promoting external collaboration with nature organisations and local governments, and contributing to environmental awareness and science by making all the data collected available.
