Why attend
This session offers a concise and powerful synthesis of findings from diverse sources, including Indigenous wisdom and peer-reviewed studies, to help guide policy and practice for connecting people with nature to create a culture of conservation and care for the Earth consistent with the emerging Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework.
HideDescription
This interactive session focuses on how contemporary science and wisdom traditions, including those of Indigenous peoples throughout the world, combine to inspire action, respect, love and care for the Earth by people of all ages in communities large and small. The presentation draws from the IUCN-led work of #NatureForAll’s synthesis of research and wisdom, Home to Us All: How Connecting with Nature Helps Us Care for Ourselves and the Earth. Fourteen co-authors collaborated to develop this innovative knowledge product, assisted by an oversight team and 60 reviewers from 22 nations on five continents.
