This session will engage you in the latest thinking, including the new Knowledge Framework for Nature, Culture and People.

The session presents a chance to understand the work done within the World Heritage Leadership Programme, which aims for integrating people centered approaches to the conservation of nature and culture in heritage management. A new World Heritage knowledge framework will be presented for establishing the foundation of how the two sectors could work together, with diverse tools adapted and revised for use on both cultural and natural sites focusing on areas such as management effectiveness, impact assessments for heritage, disaster risk management, climate change adaptation and resilience. The session will include state of the art and knowledge advancement presentations, and case studies from multiple regions of the world. Finally, the session will be introduce a new World Heritage Resource platform to a larger audience of natural and cultural heritage professionals, managers and focal points.
