Integrating Biodiversity & Development 2.0: Evidence, Approaches & Lessons from the USAID Experience

Why attend
Since the launch of our Biodiversity Policy in 2014, USAID has had a renewed focus on elevating biodiversity as an essential component of international development. Come learn how a global donor has been working across sectors to raise awareness of and action for biodiversity conservation.
HideDescription
Development problems are integrated, and biodiversity conservation is a critical part of the solution. Once considered a niche issue or special interest, biodiversity conservation is now recognized as critical to achieving equitable and sustainable development. USAID invests in integrating biodiversity with other sectors to address threats and drivers of biodiversity loss for improved conservation and development outcomes. In this session we will present our approach to integration across key development sectors such as food security and health and how we seek internal transformative change for external impact.
